Many homeowners today truly enjoy designing their own homes and are very savvy about choosing materials and furnishings to make their homes special. However, sometimes these "Design It Yourselfers" need a little help - either to get started on a new project or to make those final decisions that pull the whole design together.
With Sarasota Interior Design Group's "Design It Yourself Advisor", you get just the amount of advice you are looking for without the need to sign contracts or feel that you obligated to purchase any materials or furniture or anything through the Designer. It's simple... you have questions, we have answers.

"So How Does This Work?"
We want this process to be as easy and economical as possible. Good design decisions are based on looking at the whole picture and understanding your entire space. In order to have a good sense of your space, we start with some photos and a floor plan. SIDG sends assistants to photograph and measure your rooms. Then we create rough floor plans showing the existing furniture and general layout of the home.
Next step, you meet with the Interior Designer to discuss what your space is like and what you want it to be. Your "Design It Yourself Advisor" will answer all your pressing questions. This meeting will take place at the office of SIDG, so bring some things to "Show and Tell" - floorings samples you are considering, photos of furniture you might want to buy, that funky tile you are considering putting in the bathroom. Bring it all, and let's make your space AMAZING by making all the RIGHT design decisions.
"How Much Will It Cost?"
Initial Fee: $195 includes all of the following:

Digital photography and Rough Measurement of Space - Up to 3 bedrooms/2 baths/Living Room/Dining Room/Den/ Kitchen (Each additional Room @ $10 per room). You will receive a CD of these photos.

Rough Furniture Plan drawn of existing space that shows major furnishings and general layout of space. You will receive a printed copy of this furniture plan.

1 1/2 Hour Design Consultation with Interior Designer @ SIDG. (Bring a list of design related questions and any items needed to discuss your design.)
Additional Design Time @ SIDG: $65 per hour
"How Will I Implement the Designer's Recommendations?"
All design recommendations by the "Design It Yourself Advisor" (including finishes, furniture, accessories and artwork) will be available to the consumer market either at a local showroom/store or online. There will be no need to purchase anything through the Designer.
You will continue on your DIY path, shopping for and purchasing all merchandise and contracting with any building professionals necessary to implement the recommendations.
NOTE: You may choose to hire Sarasota Interior Design Group for additional Interior Design Services in which we purchase merchandise on your behalf or work with your building professionals, etc. If this becomes the case, a separate agreement will be drawn up between you and SIDG.
